My inspiration for this shoot began when I found the dress, which instantly reminded me of the dress Keira Knightley wears to the ball in the film adaptation of Pride & Prejudice. I wanted to put a modern, Oregon spin on it, using a romantic palette for the florals, featuring burgundy dahlias, peach roses, and bay leaves, and an organic hazelnut cake with blackberry fig preserves and a honey buttercream frosting that showcases some of Oregon’s finest foods. The entire session was shot on film, which I believe adds to the romance.
