Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art Wedding

Shonda and Arthur met while he was playing football at James Madison University. Now, he plays professionally for the Buffalo Bills, and they chose to have a spring wedding so everyone could be there. They had actually gotten legally married last year, but this was their day to celebrate with family and friends. The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art was the perfect venue for their modern and elegant purple, black and white palette. Shonda’s grandfather passed away just a couple weeks before the wedding, so to honor him they placed a photo of him and Shonda with his boutonniere on the sweetheart table so that he could be present in everyone’s hearts that night. All of Arthur’s favorite candies were present in the colorful candy bar, and in lieu of favors, they made a donation in the name of one of Shonda’s friends that passed away last year.
