A DIY scouts wedding in Potomac, MD
Rachel and Tyler made their wedding at Rockwood Manor, a former Girl Scouts camp, a welcoming weekend getaway for their guests! With DIY florals and décor, eco-friendly food, homemade desserts and a revamped family wedding gown, their wedding was uniquely them, all the while maintaining a budget. They found used lanterns and old scouting books to accent the flowers in their décor (which Rachel’s family arranged), and she wore her mother’s gown and had friends do her hair and makeup. Although some rain forced them to move their outdoor ceremony inside, they didn’t miss a beat. Their cozy reception space had room enough for their intimate ceremony, where guests crowded right up to the altar and the couple’s adopted dog lay at their feet. Rachael Foster Photography captured their beautiful celebration!
