With “Kate Middleton” already the number 1 searched fashion buzzword, there is little doubt that the royal wedding will inspire millions of brides to be with its style. And Kate’s wedding dress will undeniably provide the most inspiration of all.
Designers are clearly anticipating the trend and have already started creating gowns that have royal wedding style. (Monique Lhuillier even named hers “Catherine.”)
These dresses are modern but not trendy. Elegant and understated. Graceful and refined. And since strapless is considered very “American” – “royal” wedding dresses will undoubtedly have sleeves.
We’ve scoured the Spring 2012 collections to find the dresses with the most royal wedding style. Here are our favorites:
L to R: Carolina Herrera, Legends by Romona Keveza, Monique Lhuillier
L to R: Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa, Modern Trousseau
And the gown we think is closest to what Kate will wear….the Legends by Romona Keveza gown above. Which one do you think matches Kate’s style the most?
