Kenzie and Tony’s preppy and rustic country horse farm wedding was inspired by her lifelong love of horses, her taste for preppy fashion, and the country surroundings of her college alma mater in Louisville. For their September wedding, The Darby House, a historical estate on Darby Dan Farm in Ohio, was their dream venue with its open acreage lined with white fencing and beautiful trees. Embracing the preppy theme, the men wore navy blue sport coats, tan tailored dress pants and cypress green ties to match the bridesmaids’ dresses from J. Crew. The girls were accented with classic pearl accessories and custom burlap clutches. All of the bouquets were a rustic blend of blue and white hydrangeas with burlap and lace wraps. The ceremony was outside at a beautiful altar handcrafted from barn siding by the bride’s grandfather, adorned with refurbished milk jugs and old water pails filled with mums.
Some of the other amazing DIY details crafted by Kenzie and her family included handmade centerpieces, mason jar escort cards, coaster sets as favors, gift bags just for the kids, newspaper-style programs, guest hotel bags and more. The bride, owner of Ivory House Creative, also did all of the stationery. Henry Photography captured their unforgettable day!
