From the photographer:
Sarah and Alistair got married in the heart of Umbria, Italy. They chose one very unique venue called Chiesa del Carmine, an intimate 11th-century church located in a protected valley, where the wildlife is abundant and nature is thriving. They were very aware that no visit to Italy is complete without sampling some of the wines of Umbria and Tuscany, so they arranged for their guests to have a special winery tour the day before the wedding. Since there’s no better place than Italy to also have good food, they followed the winery tour with a pizza and prosecco night!
On the wedding day Sarah wore a blush toned, two piece gown which was the perfect romantic touch for the gorgeous setting. She paired the gown with golden heels and delicate olive leaves in her hair. Her bridesmaids complemented the colour scheme well with their flowy sage gowns, while the flowers girls wore their tiny olive crowns and light pink tulle dresses.
Sarah walked down the aisle to acoustic guitar in the candlelit chapel, where Alistair was waiting. The atmosphere was magical and the ceremony was so touching and emotional there was not a dry eye in the room. Then family, friends, and a subtle rain welcomed the newlyweds in the landscaped garden amongst olive and cyprus trees. The celebration ended up on the dancefloor to the sound of classic rock music – a great way to end a beautiful day!
