Peaceful, timeless, elegant, memorable: all beautiful things for a wedding day to aspire to be. Ashley and Jonathan’s winery wedding in British Columbia, Canada was all of this and more. With incredible views of the mountains and the lake, a reserved palette of white, green and champagne, and an open-air tent at the reception, their celebration was filled with a romantic ambiance. This is the perfect way to show future brides and grooms that intentionally designing a wedding to fit well with the surroundings (whether that is outdoor, or an indoor venue!) is the best way to create a wonderful atmosphere.

“Ashley and Jonathan had a very clear idea of how they envisioned their beautiful destination vineyard wedding at Painted Rock Estate Winery in Penticton, British Columbia. It was with great intention that their wedding would feel timeless, elegant, memorable. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Ashley and Jonathan said “I do” overlooking the rolling vineyards and view of the Skaha Lake. Ashley looked breathtaking in her Monique L’huillier gown with a bouquet full of white and cream blooms and flowing silk ribbon. Ashley and her mother, Lola, had a hand in every detail from drying rose petals for tossing as they exited their ceremony and the beautiful quotes on the gold scripted ceremony programs by LaHappy Design. The bride and groom’s dog even dressed for the occasion! The wedding was more than just details though, the atmosphere was undeniably romantic. Guests sipped champagne while a live musician played acoustic guitar, guests dined over local cuisine with the sun setting over the lake, they danced under the stars to a live band, and they all left the weekend with local bottles of wine, macarons, and memories of the Okanagan Valley.”
