Emily and Kevin’s winter wedding was held in a church tucked away in the Illinois woodlands and covered in snow. Their intimate celebration featured a collection of curated textures and patinas in a pastel palette of coral, dusty green and blue-gray. Emily’s uncle is an event planner and created the winter-into-spring theme with just the right amount of whimsy to capture the fresh hopefulness of the young couple. One of the truly unique moments was when the precious ringbearer came down the aisle riding in his own decorated little red wagon wearing a bowtie and a boutonniere. At the brunch reception, in lieu of knives clinking glasses, guests were encouraged to sing a song to the bride and groom to persuade them to kiss. The couple were serenaded by guests of all ages singing songs such as Disney’s “Les Poissons,” Katy Perry’s “Firework” and the Fiddler on the Roof classic “If I Were a Rich Man.” True Grace Photography captured their day!
