Intimate Real Wedding Inspired and Styled By the Colors of the Pacific Northwest With Organic and Modern Details

From the Amanda, the bride and a wedding photographer:

“Planning a wedding as part of the industry was an interesting task. It’s assumed that you know exactly what you want and have your wedding all planned out, but in reality, I knew more of what I didn’t want then what I did. What I did know when I started planning was that I wanted my closest family and friends there and I wanted to get married in the Pacific Northwest.

We were lucky enough to find an amazing venue for our small wedding. Since our guest count was only 50 people, we had more options for less traditional venues which is how we decided on COR Cellars. I envisioned one long table for all of us to gather around, and also a location that showcased the beauty of the Gorge.

As far as planning all the small details of our wedding day, inspiration came back to the Pacific Northwest and our venue. I chose colors that were inspired by wild berries and the cool blues and grays of the surrounding mountains. The flower selection included local dahlias and blackberries. Since the venue was more modern, I wanted to blend some modern details to contrast the organic elements we already had planned. I decided on more modern invitations, guestbook, and place cards instead of choosing calligraphy.

In the end, we got to spend our day with our closest family and friends in a place we love, which is all that mattered to us. We ate pizza, drank wine, and danced the night away.”

From Alyssa, the photographer:

“The bride, Amanda Lenhardt, is a wedding photographer, and she and her now-husband Chuck planned the whole event themselves from afar, even down the invitations they designed and put together themselves. About 50 guests traveled to Lyle, Washington for the wedding weekend.”
