Megan and Dan chose The Enchanted Barn as the perfect location for their wedding – as the bride put it, a “tiny diamond in a hay stack” situated right between their hometowns in Wisconsin. They chose a romantic palette of navy and lavender to complement the rustic setting of the barn, accented by plenty of country details like rustic wood and chalkboard signs! Erin Johnson Photography captured their celebration!
A rustic navy and lavender barn wedding in Wisconsin
My mother has been a scrapbooker/crafter for years. She has a group of about 4 close girlfriends that get together many times throughout the year and make crafts. They have all been a mother figure in my life for years and they all wanted to be a part of the wedding planning. They came up with the name “The Super Witty Wedding Committee.” They have all been my decorators. Almost our entire wedding was a DIY project. My mom searched fabric stores and found my table runner, and we ended up cutting all the fabric ourselves. The boys sliced some trees for the wood bases. My mom’s friend Heidi made the table flowers, and we gathered antlers from friends. Another one of my mom’s friends is a graphic designer so she helped us design all the invites, save the dates, and programs along with our logo, which is found throughout the wedding decor. All the wood signs at the wedding have been made by the boys building them and the girls painting them. Heidi made all the desserts from the wedding cake to the groom’s cake to the cupcake antlers. A group of us girls made the chocolate mudcake (brownies), cheesecake and cookies. Almost everything has been created or envisioned by myself, my mom and the super witty wedding committee. – Megan
