Jennifer and Takesuke were married in May at the Bryant Park Grill surrounded by loved ones and the urban beauty of New York City! Their aspiration for the day was that it be a representation of their fun-loving relationship and their mutual love of food and drink. Their evening ceremony luckily missed a very rainy day, and when guests arrived, they were treated to sunny skies and a rooftop view overlooking Bryant Park. At the reception, guests had a lovely seated meal and dessert bar, and in lieu of a traditional cake cutting ceremony, Jennifer and Takesuke paid homage to his heritage with the Japanese tradition of breaking open a sake barrel. The splitting of the barrel and sharing a toast with guests invites harmony and good fortune to the marriage. As a favor to remember the day, each guest was given a Masu (cedar sake box) embossed with the couples’ names and wedding date. After the reception, a food truck was stationed outside the venue serving grilled cheese with bacon and tater tots! Priyanca Rao Photography captured their celebration.
