A sleek and modern wedding in Estero, FL
Melissa and Nate took a very modern, clean approach to their wedding, incorporating DIY details with understated elegance. Nate designed their invitation using metallic and vellum paper (how amazing is his design?), and the ribbon around the invitation was cut to fit and sewn into a loop. Melissa handmade the bouquets to resemble a crazy version of mums, using artificial orchid leaves that were cut into pieces along with craft wire, charcoal crushed taffeta, pins and a wire cutter! The cement paver centerpieces were inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, and the lanterns hanging from the ceiling were spray painted silver or charcoal and arranged in groupings of five. I love the way the purple lighting effects offset the modern details! For the guest book, guests signed in on loose calendar pages designed on cardstock that will be bundled together after the wedding. Guests were instructed to “find your birthday and sign your name.” Melissa and Nate chose to have a circular aisle in an effort to give all of the guests a great view of the raised altar, where Nate’s father officiated the wedding.
