Minimalist Restaurant Wedding in Russia

We love seeing how couples celebrate their most important moments, around the world. Today’s real wedding feature focuses on a couple in Russia, who wanted to keep everything about their wedding simple. Minimalist choices included dining on a restaurant patio with just their closest friends and family, a simple black and white color palette, and a family style meal. That being said, we’re sure you’ll notice that just because the couple kept things simple, doesn’t mean that it wasn’t beautiful: the bride’s dress is the perfect example! If you need further proof, look to the classic floral arrangements: white carnations and dahlias, unripened berries, and plenty of green foliage add up to a beautiful centerpiece.

Read on for more from the photographer, Anna Timoshenko:
“This couples wanted to have a simple, beautiful, cozy and very intimate celebration. That is why they have decided to organize their event with just a small circle of family and friends, in a restaurant with an open terrace with the lake view. The bride wanted to have everything done in a very simple way—from decorations to her dress (that she tailored herself)—simple yet beautiful! While our florist and a decorator were preparing the location for dinner, my bride prepared herself for the happiest moment in her life. Hidden from anyone’s eyes there was a perfect natural forest boudoir! This was a long distance relationship and in a very beginning, this couple was communicating with real hand written letters. They chose to refresh their feelings with writing two love letters to each other for the wedding day. It was so emotional to be a part of this magical moment when they were reading their letters and their eyes were full of tears… Distance means nothing when someone means everything! This is the real magic when you see how two hearts become one. The bride really liked the informal atmosphere: Only the closest people, simple but very tasty cuisine, no frills, so they all felt free and natural, to sing into the microphone and dance barefoot. All in all, their wedding day was a very tender story of sincere and deep feelings.”
