Wedding dress trends for 2017 and 2018 weddings are bringing a return to clean lines, more structure, and rich fabrics. Today we’re thrilled to debut pieces from the luxurious 2017 bridal gown collection, the Bespoke Collection by KAREN WILLIS HOLMES. Dresses feature beautiful embellished details, rich and striking silhouettes, and incomparable style.
One of our favorite features of the KAREN WILLIS HOLMES brand is their Design Your Gown Collection. We’ve ogled at these beautiful mix-and-match pieces before, and for 2017, the addition of new skirt and top options means each bride has the opportunity to have a personally designed gown that suits them perfectly.
The options for wedding dress silhouettes are broad, with some gowns highlighting a simpler, A-line silhouette while others still provide flouncy skirts, modest trains, or full ballgowns. Two of our favorites from this collection are the Sophie and the Ophelia gowns, featuring delicate floral embroidery and beading details on the bodice of each gown finished with full tulle ball gown or fishtail skirt.
For brides looking for modern options, we love the Shelly Bodice teamed with the Samantha skirt creates a flattering gown featuring a deep V-neck and mesh side bodice paneling with a fitted figure hugging skirt. Another wonderful choice would be the Design Your Gown combination of the Gerry bodice with Merida skirt in an overlay of thick netting and lace applique across the bodice and skirt.
These gowns were photographed around the hall, building and gardens of Montsalvat, an artistic colony in Victoria, Australia which showcases a moody and ethereal backdrop perfect for highlighting the gorgeous wedding dresses.
Gowns available now in the KAREN WILLIS HOLMES boutiques.
