Megan and Todd were drawn to the Big Easy for their wedding because not only is it where they fell in love, but it was also the backdrop for their romantic proposal! Everything about their celebration was inspired by their love of New Orleans, from the invitations to the cake. After a relaxing morning of mimosas with the ladies, Megan was off to give Todd his first look at his blushing bride. After an emotional moment, the pair traversed the French Quarter, grabbing a few on-the-go drinks and walking along the street to congratulations from passersby. An exchange of beautiful vows, two rings, and a recessional later, the newlyweds and their guests paraded down the street in the traditional second line march. Megan had handmade the umbrellas that she and her Mr. carried, but she admitted that she got carried away decorating her own and the umbrella collapsed under the weight! Despite the minor mishap, the second line was a special experience for these two. The Riverview Room was transformed into a magical scene with decadent floral arrangements finished off with white feathers, along with candle light and dramatic pink and purple lighting, all envisioned by Get Polished Events. They turned the balcony into a makeshift courtyard lounge, complete with a full-service bar, and guests sent the newlyweds off into the night with pom poms that read “Geaux Groom” and “Roll Bride,” representing Todd’s LSU pride vs. Megan’s Alabama roots.
