From nieces and nephews to cousins and friends’ little ones, children are some of the most precious guests attending your wedding. They’re cute, sweet, energetic…and restless; however, organizing a few creative children’s activities in advance will make them happy campers!
In addition to activities, it’s important to line up some kid-friendly dining options, as Chicken Cordon Bleu and grilled salmon are probably not appealing to most kiddos. Lucky for you, kids at weddings is not a new phenomenon, and venues are usually armed with a menu tailored to little ones (chicken fingers, plain pasta, french fries, etc.). Arrange a table especially for them in a location where someone can easily keep an eye on them, and they will feel so special and important to have their own space.
Some ideas for kids:
- Bouncy house
- Hula hoop, jump rope and hopscotch station (if your wedding is outdoors)
- “I Spy” scavenger hunt with disposable cameras
- A “kids corner” with games like checkers and tic-tac-toe
- Coloring station with wedding-themed pictures
- A tipi gathering spot
- A Lego-building table
