From the photographer, Hannah:

We wanted every moment of this editorial to tell a story —inviting the viewer to enter into the intimate moments a bride experiences on her wedding day. Refined, organic, intentional, and minimalistic are perfect words to describe this editorial. Inspired by the simplicity and elegance of minimalist style, this collaboration combined a mid-century modern aesthetic with the influence of Japanese minimalism.

Minimalism invites us to pare down a design concept to its truest essentials: is there anything to be added? Is there anything to be taken away? It asks us to carefully consider each element of a design with thoughtful intention—ensuring that every detail is purposeful to the story we tell.

Simplicity draws attention to beauty without distraction. For example, a gown’s simple silhouette draws focus to the bride’s natural features. A single iris highlights the delicacy of a single bloom. Tea poured from an earthenware pot invites a guest to share a ritual act of welcome. Our imagery reinforces this by featuring a simple color palette: white and ivory tones, accompanied by lush greens, soft textiles, and wood textures.

With every element designed with intention, a space of organic tranquility is created —a space every bride ought to experience on her treasured wedding day.
