A Quaker wedding ceremony in Charleston, SC
The Quaker wedding custom centers around a couple marrying themselves, so Dianne and Matthew walked into their ceremony together and wrote intimate vows proclaiming their love and commitment. After, their friends and family spoke words of blessing, wisdom and love over them, followed by a silent time of prayer and reflection. Dianne had a gorgeous hand-painted marriage certificate that was read aloud and signed by everyone present. Ending the ceremony, the couple shook hands with their guests and popped the champagne. Their reception followed at the Gin Joint, a speak-easy style restaurant in downtown Charleston! McBee Photography captured their one-of-a-kind celebration.
