We could talk to you all day long about our favorite wedding dress trends for 2017 and 2018. But wouldn’t you rather hear from the experts at your favorite bridal boutiques what their top picks are? Today, Lanie List from Lovely is sharing some of her absolute favorite bridal gowns for stylish brides getting married in 2017 or 2018, and we think you’re going to love what she has to show.
Lanie tells us, ’It is such a welcome change to see the modern structure and clean architectural elements making their way into wedding gowns. We are seeing a return to cleaned-up, classic looks, but the best part is, they are not simple or boring. This trend has brought out some of the most luxurious fabrics we’ve ever seen, so the cuts are accentuated by couture fabrics and subtle details. The geometry of the gowns looks amazing on brides’ bodies! Our favorite thing ever: the exploded sleeve, which looks so dramatic against the backdrop of a clean sexy gown.’
Case in point? This silver sequinned gown by Odylyne the Ceremony, which is one of the dreamiest gowns we’ve ever seen. It’s called “Icarus,” and we can see why — step into the light, and you will simply glitter like the sun.
The structure of this incredible Suzanne Harward goan is a welcome change after several seasons of romantic and flowing gowns. With a sensual deep v, the rest of this gown is chicly demure — with a little extra drama thanks to those bell sleeves.
For the inner boho bride, the “Adella” gown by Carol Hannah is perfect. Still romantic, girly, and perfect for dancing, the sexy bust is completed with unique leather macrame straps.
And finally, if you dream of a whimsical outdoor wedding, then Lovely might show you the “Monrose” gown by Odylyne the Ceremony. It features a form fitted bodice with shimmering lace, tiered skirt, and dramatic train, and finished with the gorgeous fluttering sleeves.
