A fairy tale wedding fit for a Disney princess in Angier, NC
Lisa and Wes’ October wedding at Barclay Villa, a stunning castle-like venue nestled in the hills of North Carolina, was a Disney fan’s dream come true! Lisa’s dream was to be proposed to in front of Cinderella’s Castle, and Wes did the next best thing: one morning, he woke up early and decorated their living room in Disney décor and put a Cinderella’s Castle wall decal on the wall. When Lisa woke up and came downstairs, she found Wes on one knee in front of the castle. Their wedding day was a fairy tale celebration, captured by Catherine Ann Photography, that included hidden Mickeys. Lisa is a literary instructor at Duke, so she loves to read, and Wes surprised her on the morning of their wedding with a rare first edition of Alice in Wonderland. Their first dance as husband and wife was to “I See the Light” from Tangled, and they headed off to their happily ever after in a horse-drawn carriage.
