From Kismis Ink Photography: “This shoot was inspired by the vibrant colors of Moroccan culture, and ancient goddesses when it came to the bride’s attire and beauty. We wanted to blend together two different cultures in a warm and inviting setting, complete with eclectic details and pieces from each culture. From the earth tones, bold colors and ornate designs, Morocco’s rich culture is the perfect backdrop to showcase multicultural weddings to an otherwise unfamiliar audience. One word describes the inspiration behind this theme, Goddess. The bride’s flowy white dress accessorized with a bolero crystal, a headpiece adorned with jewels, and a twin belt, which matched her bracelet, radiated beauty. By using a combination of traditional Moroccan and modern designs, I was able to capture the essence of fierce draped with a bit of femininity. With the groom, I took a minimalist approach with an all-black tuxedo and black dress shoes.”

The Flowers & Cake
“The bouquet was filled with vibrant colors, such as purple, yellow, and orange orchids. Fuchsia roses with the same colorful roses were placed around the table in gold vases. The groom’s boutonniere was made out with some colorful orchids as well.
White moth orchid sugar flowers adorn the cake giving a romantic and elegant feel. Scalloped edges are accentuated with gold pearls and a single gold pendant. The cake sat on a golden crystal-draped square base, which was placed on a metal table with a mosaic top design that made the simplicity of the cake pop out a bit more.”
The Tablescape
“The inspiration behind the tablescape was overtly traditional Moroccan. The table itself was a custom made wooden block with an acrylic top. The earth tones from the tables complemented the colorful pillows while the candles set the tone for an evening filled with passion. Manzanita trees filled the room and held ornate lanterns. We draped the middle of the table with colorful soft fabric, to give the rest of the décor a bit of texture. The table was dressed with teacups, colorful orchids and quatrefoil textured napkins, surrounded by hanging greenery and additional lanterns to set the tone for the evening. We had gold clear plates set, which sat on clear beaded gold chargers. We also used 24K gold flatware with amber unique short glassware. A tray filled with grapes, apples, bananas and other fruits to give the table a bit of a festive feel. As a thank you, we placed a hand painted coaster as favors on top of each place settings.”
The Attire
“We used a Hailey Paige dress called Paloma, which was accessorized with a crystal bolero. The bride was wearing a crystal headpiece and a belt that matched the bracelet as well. The shoes were royal blue Badgley Mischkas embellished with crystals.”
