I love winter weddings – the colors and the warmth are inherently enchanting to me, so it’s no surprise I was ecstatic to see this gorgeous winter stylized shoot from Jannet Blas Photography and Blue Dress White Rabbit! In addition to a gorgeous dress, a jaw-dropping crown and a holiday table fit for royalty, this shoot features some really unique elements, as well – particularly the herbs for the sendoff!
A winter wedding inspiration shoot in Denton, TX
These sets are curated for a couple with old souls. A pair that loves to curl up by the fire on a snowy day and get swept away in a good book. Every romantic element is meant to show the old soul/enchanted vibe while still being sophisticated. I am a big fan of symbolism and working that into events. Some examples are the herbs; herbs such as sage have been used for centuries to “bless” homes and ward off evil – how perfect is that for a newly wed send-off?! Another symbol I used was the golden apple “place cards.” Apple trees are seen in several cultures’ lore as trees of unity. You may also notice the bride and groom’s cards read: Emma and Killian – two characters from the show Once Upon A Time. To complement the old soul’s theme, every book you see is an antique classic. – Kaitlynn, Blue Dress White Rabbit
