There’s nothing quite like an elegant fall wedding, and Sarah and Finn’s day was as gorgeous as they come! From the bride’s sleek dress, custom-made for her Juan Carlos Obando, to the minimalist table decor, the couple wanted to keep things simple and heartfelt. Read on for more from the bride!

From the bride:
“We wanted the day to be simple, heartfelt, and feel a bit rustic but yet elegant. The tables were laid with garlands made from olive branches and eucalyptus, which a crew of family members assembled the day before the wedding. We wanted the food to be simple and tasteful, to contrast with the most important part of the night to me: the dance party. The venue (in the Chicago Park District) had a checkered marble floor, and its high ceilings provided excellent acoustics. We also have some wildly talented friends, so the music and the dancing was definitely a highlight.

One of the most important aspects of a wedding, to me, is the pictures that will make the day live forever. A photographer who can capture the spirit of the day is a rare and special find, and we definitely found him in TIm Coulson. Tim has a way of finding the purest moments of love in the most unexpected moments. He was right next to me whenever I needed him, but then for much of the night he was invisible, just part of the environment. Weeks later, after the excitement of the wedding had died down and I had a little “post wedding blues,” we saw the photos and the spirit of the day came rushing back to us. He was without a doubt the best decision we made for this day.

We had grand dreams to drive away in a fancy getaway car, but ended up driving away in my parents Subaru, which was actually the most poignant thing we could do – that car has literally driven us across the country twice and is still kicking. It took us back to our hotel, ending the most amazing journey of all.”
