We’re thrilled to share this elegant, berry-toned wedding with you today. Sloane and Idan obviously have exquisite taste, and this led them to create a beautiful, intimate wedding celebration that really told their story: their Jewish heritage was tied throughout, their chuppah was created from Sloane’s mother and grandmother’s wedding dresses, and more. And we can’t get enough of the sweet little berry touches incorporated throughout the florals!

“More than anything, Idan and I looked to have an intimate wedding celebration that told our story in every detail. We live in NYC, grew up in California and his family lives abroad, so after a worldwide search of venues, we decided to celebrate just north of Santa Barbara in the beautiful golden hills of Santa Ynez Valley. Lavender Oak is a private ranch just beginning to produce extraordinary wines, which we had the chance to taste on numerous occasions through the planning process. Everything about the venue was not only stunning, but truly felt like home to us and will always be a special place to return to.
The entire wedding was magical. Idan’s groomsmen arrived wearing socks of their favorite sports teams, which he had sent to them as gifts when asking them to be part of our special day. The girls and I were treated by incredible florals that were even more beautiful than I could have imagined, filled with fresh berries, kale and artichokes. As a nod to Jewish culture, our invitation suite incorporated pomegranates and olive leaves, both of which are symbolic. My best friend’s mom is a children’s illustrator, and she worked extremely hard to create such beautiful paper details for us. Our chuppah was hand-sewn from my grandmother and mother’s wedding dresses, and our florist, Jill, produced a beautiful tapestry explaining its rich history. Every detail of our day was special and unique to us.
