We love sharing how different cultures celebrate weddings. No matter where you’re getting married or what tradition you come from, we’re sure you’ll love the effortlessly elegant ideas from Youna and Jay’s wedding, which took place in Seoul. From the sweetly simple bridal bouquet composed of fragrant Lily of the Valley, to the unique architecture of the venue, to both of Youna’s choices in dress, this wedding captured by Utah photographer Chudleigh Weddings is one to remember.
From the Bride:
Jay proposed to me while I was visiting him in Seoul, and as we were planning the wedding, the city where we were both born and raised became our choice of venue.
We both visited Shilla often when we were in Seoul. Whether it was for a family dinner or friend’s engagement party, their service was impeccable and a small place called Yeong Bin Gwan, mixed with traditional Korean architecture and the western interior, was perfect for small gatherings. It’s the most beautiful place in the spring. We spoke to their events department, and they were incredibly supportive of our plan to use Yeong Bin Gwan for our wedding ceremony, reception and even an after party. They made a beautiful flower arch up on the hill, filled center garden with 12 long dining tables, and we were ready to be married!
We cannot thank the people who worked with us on our special day enough. Ms. Jayeoul of Shilla took care of little details and last minute requests. Ms. Suh, who knows how to win every bride’s heart through flowers, was beyond delightful.
Britt of Chudleigh Weddings flew from Utah to Seoul to photograph our wedding, was our best choice ever. After seeing her portfolio, we knew she was the one. She and her assistant were both wonderful with guests and captured the most amazing moments that evening. We can’t imagine the day now without them there.
It truly was the best day of our lives.
