From Alexandra Lee Photography: “When you think of a winter wedding, burgundy always comes to mind. I didn’t want that. I wanted to do something different. Dusty blues. My vision for this shoot was to use cool tones while using blush and burgundy as pops of complementary colors instead of the star of the show. We brought these colors in using a variety of different pieces. We used tarnished silver for the pieces. We brought in the blush and burgundy through the florals. Paper Love Club designed a handmade invitation suite using the dusty blue color. Using the clean white space of the Loft of Elements preserved, we decked out the room with as many florals as we could and added candles to bring in the romance. Limani Designs designed a hanging floral piece for the gorgeous sweetheart table that featured the tarnished pieces, a grey blue runner, Paper Love Club’s menus, and plenty of candles. So romantic. They also designed a gorgeous cake table by adding many beautiful florals in the drawers of the dresser, and finally with an altar that had beautiful blush and burgundy florals. On the cake table from Elements Preserved, we had the yummy cake by Cacao Sweets and Treats, the hand painted guest book, and of course, wine. And what would a wedding be without a fun, personalized welcome sign done by the calligrapher. To fit the mood and feel of the shoot, Ashley created a beautiful hand written welcome sign with a schedule by ending the night with a lantern send off.”
An exquisite dusty blue, burgundy and blush winter wedding styled shoot in Elgin, IL
I wanted this shoot to be as romantic as possible. Tamara Holden Hair brought this vision to life through the hair on Taylor. The loose, romantic, half up braid would be perfect for any bride wanting something romantic, beautiful, yet effortless. J. Costa Artistry brought romanticism to life by giving Taylor an elegant, beautiful blush pink eye and burgundy lip. The ball gown dress by Watters from Simply Luxe Bridal was absolutely breathtaking and took on different colors in different lighting. Perfect for a bride who wants it all.
