Arielle and Darren’s summer love fest wedding at the Isis Oasis Retreat Center was filled with religious tradition and loved ones! It also took place on Darren’s parents’ anniversary. Essentially all of the details, even the hair and makeup, were DIY, and immediately after the ceremony, the guests broke out into song and dance to share their happiness for the newlyweds. Their choice of venue was incredibly unique, as well: it was originally the home of the Bahai School for 70 years, and today, in addition to a gathering space, it’s an animal sanctuary and a non-profit temple. The founder, Loreon Vigne, was an artist and much of the artistry and stained glass you see are her work; she also built the enclosures for her cats and exotic birds and offered a home to many rescue animals over the years. Heather Elizabeth Photography captured Arielle and Darren’s extraordinarily unique day!
