Clare Day Flowers is floral and event design studio in Victoria BC, Canada providing custom designs for weddings and events.
Clare is a second generation floral designer who brings a lush, organic aesthetic to her designs. Growing up in rural British Columbia, she spent countless hours in her parents garden and the surrounding forest and fell in love with the beauty of nature. Now she spends her time curating and celebrating this beauty through her designs.
Her home and studio is Red Damsel Farm. Named after the native western red damsel dragonfly, Red Damsel Farm is host to four local produce and flower farmers. Together, they grow some of the most sought-after wedding flowers including peonies, dahlias, clematis and other vines and fragrant herbs. In addition to her own flowers, wherever possible Clare sources materials from surrounding gardens.
Like her designs, Clare came to working with flowers organically. After more than a decade in planning, sustainability and business development, her move to the farm in 2007 prompted her to plant some flowers to support native pollinators like the bees and dragon flies. One thing led to another and in 2011 Clare Day Flowers was born.
In 2014 (April 9-13), Clare is leading a flower tour to New York with Susan Ramsey, featuring Ariella Chezar and Emily Thompson. All details can he found here.
