Amy and Drew were married in an event space owned and operated by the attached floral studio, creating a very unique urban and industrial feel that was softened by tons of candles and twinkling lights, as well as minimal decor! In addition to great food and music (Drew loves to dance, so this was really important), they had not one but three wedding cakes: chocolate peanut butter, banana and caramel. Angela Renée Photography captured their special day!
Drew and I met while we were in college. Living in separate parts of the country (Boston, MA / Savannah, GA), we were introduced by a mutual friend. We were close friends for years, but it wasn’t until I relocated to Philadelphia, PA in 2009 when we started seeing each other. About eight months later we were sharing a tiny studio apartment in Boston, MA – and the rest is history!
The venue where we were married was such a unique space, a very urban loft, but with a sort of intimate feel. We really fell hard for the space and wanted to let it shine. We had no real theme or style – just an overall feeling. It was important to us to have our wedding represent who we are. We wanted to make sure we served great food (fried chicken) and that we had an awesome dance party with our guests. Our decorations were kept very minimal and understated. The night was all about our friends and family celebrating together. – Amy, the bride
