We love that Polina and James decided that their wedding day should be one spent together – getting ready and going to the church as a couple. It set the tone for their day and allowed them to savor each moment. The joy they felt is obvious in their photos!
From Polina, the bride:
In our wedding planning process we focused on what was the most important to us. We decided to have a church wedding in the Orthodox Christian tradition, followed by an intimate celebration with our best friends and our immediate family. We envisioned a naturally flowing day where James and I would share a special moment of getting ready together and our guests dressing up and joining us in the celebration of our marriage (without any wedding party duties).
We wanted to complement a traditional ceremony and a traditional setting of Georgetown with an elegant and modern style. Our florist brought to life our love for a modern chic south beach design centered around lush tropical greenery, candlelight and flecks of gold in the all white table setting of the exposed brick ballroom. We were lucky to come across our photographer’s beautiful photography on Instagram and after our first call, it was a done deal. Our final selection was a wedding cake flavor that combined passion fruit, coconut and a butter based cream (the real deal); all of those flavors went well with our south beach design. We just really couldn’t have had a better wedding!
