Bright Pops of Color and Geometric Accents On A Rooftop in Portland, Oregon

From Emily, the stylist:

“We wanted to give a shout out the modern, artfully inspired bride. She’s the girl who doesn’t want to wear hiking boots and get married under a waterfall but could spend hours wandering around an art museum. We played with geometric lines, bright pops of color, and an urban background. We wanted to show couples what could be done, rather than what’s already out there! This was a modern, artistic affair with minimalist and intimate touches. Our choices in colors, patterns, and geometric accents brought joy to this session that we believe many modern weddings lack.

Since we shot on a rooftop, we had the city of Portland as our backdrop, adding to the geometric playfulness in our theme. The lines in the buildings were mimicked in the lines of our floral ceremony backdrop, the custom table runner, and even the decor for our cocktail area. This theme continued beyond decor and scenery. Even the bride’s gown incorporates clean lines in its pattern despite a full, romantic skirt and classic silhouette.”
