From the Planner, Hannah Mitchell of Elite Events
We were inspired by the vision of a romantic, bohemian wedding with lots of polished glamour. We wanted to also infuse some hints of our earthy Pacific Northwest roots, so we carefully selected DairyLand as the backdrop for this editorial shoot. We carefully blended a wide range of materials and textures which created a stunningly unique design. Courtney Bowlden Photography perfectly captured the glamorous, romantic whimsy of this shoot, and we cannot wait to share it with you!
The ceremony was filled with an abundance of cascading greenery and floral. The altar was custom-designed by From the Ground Up Floral and surrounded by lush greens and candles of varying heights. The asymmetrical floral design on the altar created a whimsical, modern vibe which was further enhanced by the altar’s unique triangular shape. Burgundy and white petals ran the length of the aisle in bold geometric boho shapes, while lush garlands lined the length of the aisle. To soften up the bohemian vibe, Elite Events incorporated soft tulle to each gold Chiavari chair down the inside of the aisle.
The Christos Bridal gown from The Dress Theory complemented the glamorous boho vibe with its lace-filled cut-outs and full, flowy skirt. The lace-up tassel shoes and layered jewelry were reminiscent of classic boho layers and details. The bridal bouquet by From the Ground Up Floral was also adorned with long colorful ribbon which hung from the flowers in a soft, effortless way.
Our invitations from Songbird Paperie were edgy with the black envelope, but also soft with its romantic burgundy watercolor invitation. The invitation and RSVP envelope featured stunning hand-written calligraphy in gold and black ink. The invitation suite also boasted a gorgeous gold and white marble envelope liner which added a modern yet sleek finish.
For the reception, we used the carved acrylic tables from Elite Events to add a uniquely modern touch and more dimension for our table layout. Each place setting was adorned with a marble charger and black and gray stone plates from CORT Party Rentals and was topped with burgundy watercolor menus that perfectly matched our invitations. The place cards by Songbird Paperie also coordinated flawlessly with the invitation with its gold calligraphy on thick black cardstock. From The Ground Up Floral used hand-foraged fallen leaves in each centerpiece to give the arrangements some Pacific Northwest winter flare. It also brought in more of the vibrant color that we featured throughout the shoot. Organic cascading greenery hung from the three chandeliers and created a dramatic focal point that brings your eyes upward toward the ceiling. We feel that lush, overgrown greenery is a Seattle staple for romance and an effortless feel!
Last but not least, our 4-tiered cake by P Squared Events was an absolute stunner with its gold foiling, dummy floral layer, and burgundy marbled top. The cake was displayed on top of a woven foiling, dummy floral layer, and burgundy marbled top. The cake was displayed on top of a woven macramé and decorated with bright florals, greenery, and gold geo prisms.
