Rich Autumn Color and an Intimate Elopement in the Forests of Edinburgh, Scotland

 From Sarah, the photographer:

“A peaceful, wild, intimate elopement story in Scotland.I first met Matt and Tamar in Edinburgh last summer and I was immediately struck by their connection to each other, their generosity, and their fun sense of humor.

Our shoot began at a small bothy on the edge of Loch Rannoch looking out over the water. The morning was frosty so we turned on the wood burner while Tamar and Matt got ready. Apart from a few boats bobbing outside on the loch, there wasn’t another soul around.

Tamar wore a burgundy red velvet dress for the indoor portion of the shoot and then changed into a romantic, off-white cotton embroidered dress before heading outside.

The flowers for the shoot provided a splash of Scottish autumnal color. Roses, Ranunculus and Amaranthus mixed with Rosehips, Sea Holly and Eucalyptus. Garden pickings from a local flower farm, including Hydrangea, beautiful autumnal foliage and dangly Himalayan Honeysuckle.

From the cottage, we walked out towards the woods and up through the bracken to a viewpoint over the mountains. After an hour or so of walking, the evening was coming to a close, so we made our way back to the cottage to warm up. We styled a simple table in front of the fire for a cozy evening of peaceful relaxation.”
