From Daniela, the planner:
“On the beautiful afternoon of April 13th, Alicia and Karl decided to tie the knot with the help of The Tuscan Wedding at the Il Borro resort and winery.
In front of 10 of the couples’ absolute closest loved ones, the two enjoyed a breathtakingly intimate destination wedding in the most romantic Tuscan countryside location. As free spirits, the bride and groom’s simplistic yet detailed style was achieved to perfection on their special day.
Alicia stayed true to her fun-loving personality by incorporating her navy blue accent color into her multi-colored and patterned manicure to complement her elegant navy blue heels. Her gown was romantic with a fit-and-flare ensemble featuring a lace design, beaded belt, plunging V-neck and an open back. Her natural smokey eye and wavy locks by Cherie Spisso complimented her dress perfectly. To continue the white and blue palette, the bride-to-be’s bouquet featured alternating white and navy florals tied with a navy blue ribbon executed by Tuscany Flowers. Karl made a timeless appearance with a complimenting navy suit tailored to perfection with a patterned blue and white tie, white pocket square, and a single orchid boutonniere. The two looked absolutely stunning side-by-side walking down the aisle, together, hand-in-hand as Elton John’s, Can You Feel The Love Tonight was whimsically played by a harp and violin duo.
Il Borro’s Italian Garden seated the duo’s special guests and incorporated a ceremony arch decorated to perfection with white flowers and complimenting white draperies. Stefano Santucci and Waterfall truly captured every picture perfect moment during their intimate and memorable commitment to forever. After exchanging rings, Alicia and Karl each poured green and blue sand into a single glass vase to symbolize their intertwining love and promises to one another. The grains of colored sand can never be fully separated, much like their vows to endlessly stand by each other’s side. Once the ceremony came to a close, the newlyweds embarked down the aisle to Sinatra’s, Fly Me To The Moon. Love was truly in the air!
After Alicia and Karl’s beautiful ceremony, guests were able to mingle over fine Italian wine and some small bites catered by Federico Salza. During which, the couple’s unique signing book was displayed. Instead of going the traditional route, the newlyweds decided on using an authentic piece of wood that they picked up from a Tuscan Winery during their stay in Italy. What a personalized and unique added touch!
Following the appetizer, dinner was served on Il Borro’s terrace and the setup was an absolute dream. Sticking to the white and blue hues, floral arrangements were delicately placed on their long dining table, surrounded by candlelight. However, not all decorations were found on the table itself. Hanging above were two gorgeous crystal chandeliers that lit up the entire space with sparkling light to add to their whimsical and romantic atmosphere. Instead of having a traditional cake for dessert, Alicia and Karl decided to treat their guests (literally) to a sweet buffet filled with delectable assortments of mini bites that were served in the internal pool area of the venue. The indoor space featured white arches and glistening candlelight surrounding the perimeter of the pool, as well as loose, white flower petals, perfectly placed by The Tuscan Wedding, in the water to add to this dreamy sensation as guests enjoyed the rest of their evening with an open bar.”
