From the photographer, Bond:
The Millennium Centre is in the heart of the Exchange District in downtown Winnipeg, Canada. The building is primarily abandoned today, and has the feeling of forgotten grandeur. Peeling plaster has taken on the appearance of beautifully marbled walls, and a forgotten fireplace served as a wonderful backdrop for our table. This aging beauty set the tone for our moody and upscale shoot.

It was important for us to have the photos illuminate the sensual confidence of our bride, as well as her glowing gracefulness. The dress by was chosen for its flow and movement as much as for the rich earth tones. You don’t have to be in white on your wedding day – you just have to select a dress that makes you feel beautiful and confident.

We layered the table with classic pieces, adding dark, edgy tones for a modern touch. Don’t be afraid to mix it up! Calligraphy is such a beautiful way to add romance to your table, and can be used for table numbers, escort cards, or menus. Here we used it to add just the perfect pop of gold. The elegantly marbled cake design shows that your wedding cake doesn’t need to be overly elaborate to make a huge impact.

The rich color palette was completed with the touches of antique oranges and pinks against the deep purples of the flowers. The tones selected make this palette perfect for all seasons. With Ultra Violet being the Pantone color of the year, purple tones are everywhere, so we were very happy to be able to share how easily it can be incorporated into your wedding planning.
