This intimate celebration took place in Leavenworth, Washington, deep within the Cascade mountains (about an hour and a half east of Seattle). We created a relaxed couple’s session along a stunning jade blue river, a rustic yet refined bride and groom, and a modern intimate table setting with special emphasis on the elegant stemware and the organic floral elements.
From creative director Anna:
This shoot was inspired by the golden rays of light that linger in the air just before sunset. Olivia’s photography shines when she is able to utilize golden hour; however, in the Pacific Northwest we aren’t always blessed with sunny days! So we set out to find creative ways to infuse that same feeling of warmth, adventure, and peace into each element of a beautiful wedding day, through the use of soft golden tones and delicate design.
We wanted to balance the energy of youthful romance with elegant, refined design and found that balance with a gorgeous, simple bridal gown. The plunging neckline of the gown was softened by blush tones throughout, and by floral appliqués cascading down the tulle skirt. Golden yellows and soft pink tones were brought together in the floral design. We loved that the bride’s bouquet almost feels like you’re looking at a sunset, with the sun hanging on the horizon and soft pinks glowing in the clouds above.
