For over ten years, Once Wed has had the pleasure of inspiring brides from all over the world. During that time, weddings have evolved from a day including a ballgown and a required list of bridal elements, to a day where a bride can create a vision customized to suit her personality. We have loved seeing this evolution, because it means we can use our platform to share some of the wonderful creativity that comes from this freedom of choice. The lines between bridal and fashion have definitely blurred, and we are excited to share new ideas as they emerge.

Our overall intent was to put together a shoot that told a story of light and shadows inspired by the space of McCune Mansion. Admiring the works of painters like Rembrandt and Vermeer (who mastered using darkness to the shape the light), we set our utilize their techniques to create a narrative of color and luminescence – with a celestial essence.
Additional inspiration came from the romantic silhouettes of Dior Haute Couture 2017 and the elegant draping of Valentino. Our styling approach was slightly whimsical and effortless. We used gowns that had dramatic movement, yet a gentle reaction to the light within the French Baroque setting. The result was a soft blurring of the line between fashion and bridal imagery that we fell in love with!
