Timeless DIY Backyard Wedding

Courtney and Erin’s summer wedding was a beautiful, intimate ceremony on her grandparents’ property in Southern Illinois! From Shot by Chelsea: “The details of their day involved light, airy neutrals for an overall timeless summer feel, along with contrasting rustic elements such as mismatched glass containers and rustic pallet wood that tied in the outdoor, country setting. Courtney and Erin’s entire day was DIY, and involved many unique qualities. For example, a handmade bench for guests to sign instead of a guestbook, a taco bar, and ‘love-libs’ at each place setting. Their wedding gallery also features the overflowing emotion of their day. The bride shared a first look with her father, a ‘first touch’ with her groom where they read letters to each other aloud, Erin’s reaction to his bride coming down the aisle, personal vows that had even the bridesmaids in tears, and an abundance of bride and groom portraits at sunset that show their love and comfort while in each other’s arms.”
