Jessica and Brian’s spring wedding ceremony at the beautiful Church of Mezzegra was followed by a reception at a private villa on Lake Como. The couple from New York fell in love with Italy after getting engaged, so of course a destination wedding there was perfect for them. Their guests were all close friends and family, creating a truly intimate experience for everyone. Varese Wedding made sure their day went off without a hitch, and Rossini Photography captured every moment!
After getting engaged, we traveled to Liguria where we fell in love with the land, the food and the people. So we decided that we want to get married in Italy, our first idea was to choose one of the little towns in Liguria. But after a initial search, we were not sure about it. Laura [Varese Wedding] really influenced our choice. We were not familiar with other areas in Italy, and Laura helped us explore a few really beautiful options. Ultimately, we loved the elegance and beauty of the lake region. So we chose Villa Regina Teodolinda, a villa in Laglio, which became famous thanks to George Clooney.
We chose a soft pastel theme, since our wedding was in the spring. Laura suggested Sofia, who created beautiful flower arrangements, that also combined with the villa’s colors.
The best moment was walking down the aisle in the church and seeing Brian, our family and close friends for the first time that day. The sun was shining so brightly and the whole church was illuminated when the doors opened. The most memorable part was leaving the church to greet all of our guests, many for the first time since they’d arrived. We were so excited and happy to share our day with them. – Jessica
