A summer estate wedding in Wayne, PA
Katie and Austin’s August wedding at Plumb Nilly was a beautiful celebration with close family and friends just minutes away from Philadelphia’s Main Line. Katie described the theme as “casual elegance, like a Pennsylvania version of Downton Abbey.” The bride’s family has a strong attachment to their ceremony location – Radnor Friends Meeting – a historic Quaker meeting house built in the 1700s that was used as an outpost for Washington’s Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Their reception was held at Plumb Nilly, a charming 8.7-acre estate with access to the natural beauty of the McKaig Nature Conservancy. The house, a 1736 Welsh settlers’ farmhouse overflowing with Colonial details, was the perfect place for Katie and Austin’s cocktail hour and dinner reception.
