A colorful DIY destination elopement in San Diego, CA
Kate and Reid’s destination elopement in San Diego was a complete surprise to their small group of 13 guests! What they thought was a family vacation turned into an unforgettable celebration for the bride and groom, starting with a rehearsal dinner at Sushi Kuchi and ending with a rockin’ New Year’s Eve reception. Everything was DIY and incredibly colorful, from the flowers to the origami cranes to the cake. Kate and Reid got everyone together the morning of the wedding, made pancakes and set everyone to work. Everyone had a little task to do to help bring the day together. When choosing her dress, Kate’s only requirement was that she would be able to ride a bike in it. Meanwhile, Reid’s bow tie came together with a little help from a YouTube video! Krista Photography captured their incredible elopement and the start of a new marriage and a new year!
