Quyen and Dennis’ May wedding at the Waterfall Building in Vancouver was a blend of Vietnamese and Chinese cultures and modern DIY! The bride wore a red traditional tea ceremony dress from Vietnam, as well as a Western gown, and the boutonnieres distinguished the groom’s side from the bride’s. Quyen and Dennis also wore gold family jewelry that was passed down at the tea ceremony. Following customs was very important to the Tran and Ma families, but the lively bridal party had their own modern-day spinoff on many of these – the girls even made Dennis wax his legs to prove he was worthy of Quyen’s love! Other fun DIY details included handmade succulent favors for each guest and hand-written notes for the bridal party. Christie Graham Photography captured their joy-filled day!
