This is one of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever heard been given to a bride. Schedule breaks throughout the day to take a step back from it all. This will give you a moment to decompress and be able to really breathe in the scope of what’s happening.
It’s also a really great route to take if you’re prone to anxiety. You’re the complete center of attention for the entire day and night, so don’t feel bad if you need to slip away and give yourself a moment to be “off” instead of “on”.
Assign A Wrangler
Whether it’s for certain photos or certain keepsakes, assign a wrangler for both. Get your sis to snatch up place cards, programs, napkins, and the like to keep in your “treasure” box back at home.
This way, you’ll be able to look back at all the goodies and details from your big day firsthand. And, by giving someone else the task, you don’t have to stress over it.
Remember to Eat
This is especially important if you plan to have a drink in your hand. You don’t want a stomachache and you don’t want your blood sugar to dip so low that you get woozy. Make sure you lightly snack throughout the day to give you energy throughout all that’s unfolding.
