Win These Environmentally Friendly Wedding Favors!

Finding a wedding favor that fits your style and will be a meaningful gesture for your guests is not the easiest thing to do.

That’s why I think these cute and environmentally friendly favors from Botanical PaperWorks are such a great idea.

Bucket of Love Seed Favor

The Bucket of Love Seed Favor” is a tin filled with individual guest favors made of plantable seed paper.  Your guests can plant the favor indoors or out and grow wildflowers right out of the paper (and remember the fun they had at your wedding every time they look at them).

Botanical PaperWorks’ plantable paper is “tree-free”, so that no trees were cut down to make it. The base fiber is cotton or 100% post-consumer waste. And the paper is made with pure North American wildflower seeds by skilled papermakers paid a living wage.

The Bucket of Love Seed Favor is available with 50 favors or 100 favors. The favors are each tied with a satin ribbon and a personalized card. There are 6 different colors of plantable paper to choose from – and twenty different ribbon colors. And at $138 USD for 100 favors, they are budget friendly too.

And Botanical PaperWorks is giving one 100 favor tin to one lucky (and randomly selected) winner.

  1. Seriously, who comes up with these things?!? This is sooo creative! I was leaning towards creating a flower garden out of custom cookies, but this is sooo much more creative (and earth friendly)!!
    Wedding date: June 19, 2010!

  2. I love this idea and we’ve been struggling with favors, we were going to do my mom’s cookies but shes not sure how they will last on the long drive.

  6. Our wedding is May 1, 2010. We are actually having a “green” wedding, and have had alot of fun trying to find creative ways to be environmentally friendly. I absolutely LOVE this idea and it would fit perfect into our theme!

  7. I really love this idea. I am getting married at our church and using the empty lot next door for our July 11th, wedding. Many of the members, seniors and after school progranm who will be at our wedding could use this to help beautify the yard for them and the neighborhood to use.

  8. Wow!! I have never seen anything like that! My guests would be blown away!!! Our wedding is July 12,2009. With this economy we could all use some help with cutting costs, so being able to win something to help would be a blessing. The fact that they are environmental friendly is a PLUS!!!! That in itself is the icing on the cake! 😉

  9. Our date is July 25th, 2009. We’re getting married in the local botanic gardens, with our reception following in a LEED-certified green building– so these would be perfect!

  10. Our date is June 20, 2009. Our wedding is going to be outdoors – our wedding flowers are various colorful wild flowers. This would be such an appropriate wedding favor for our family and friends – and the environmentally friendly factor sure helps! Thanks for the idea!

  11. These are great. We are getting married at a summer camp on June 6th. 2009. I looked at the website and am also seriously considering the plantable thank you card. What a great idea. I hate sending cards since they ultimately just end up in the trash. I hope we win these favors. We were going to go with reusable grociery bags but the cost is turning out to be beyond our budget. Even if I don’t thanks for posting the idea.

  12. I love these and the idea of them. I am considering environment friendly favours and this is right up my alley!

  13. These are great!! I love the idea of us giving back to our guests in such a “green” and creative way! We are having a DC wedding on October 18, 2009 and think this would be a perfect addition to our day! Thanks for such an inventive and earth-friendly idea! With the state of the nation in such a slump, this provides a positive and inspiring reminder to our guests!

  14. These are awesome! I am having a destination wedding and am trying to as many eco-friendly things as possible. I was already wanting to get some sort of plant or seeds for my guests as my favours, and these are a GREAT idea! Our wedding is going to be February 21 2010 in Jamaica and I’m so excited! Thank you so much for showing these, I am excited to see what other eco-friendly things I can find for my wedding! I am definitely checking out the website as soon as I’m done this post!

  15. How adorable. These favors would be perfect for wedding favors. I hope i win. My wedding date is October 11, 2009. Yay! Can’t wait.

  16. these are great! couldn’t have a totally outdoor wedding because it was too expensive, but they’d fit in perfectly with our outdoor reception. wedding is august 15, 2009

  17. I love this idea. I think these favors would be great for our outdoor wedding!

    Wedding Date: August 16, 2009

  18. Although my wedding isn’t until October 2, 2010, I still would love to win this great favors. It will be a nice change to see a unique favor, instead of the same ole candies or bubbles. Pick Me!

  19. Wow, this is perfect because I am having a garden wedding! All my friends are getting married this year so I have been looking for a unique favor that capture the theme of my wedding that they won’t have! How Cute!

  20. What a beautiful eco-chic idea! I loved the idea of wildflower packets, but this just puts such a fun and fresh new take on it…they would be perfect for our outdoor wedding June 06, 2009!

  21. We sent out seed-paper invitations and this would be a great way to cap off our wedding!

    Date: May 23, 2009

  22. I love these – they would be perfect for my wedding, which is being held at a Nature Conservancy! My wedding date is 5/15/2010.

  23. Oh man, how genious! I’m absolutely in love with this idea. When my best friend was getting married, she wanted to do an eco-theme, but quickly found out that it was nearly impossible to do this on a small budger, and now that I’m planning my wedding ( to be held on 8/18/09) I’m finding out the same thing. But I think if she knew about this idea, it would have made her planning a little bit easier. Thanks for letting us know about this!
