Tina + Peter | Ysa Makino Wedding from Duke Photography

Lush, glamorous and dripping with roses…Tina + Peter packed their day full of romance for all 480 of their guests! No detail was spared: an entire banquet hall draped in white silk, the most elaborate 7 tier wedding cake I have ever seen and a birdcage gifting box with two real doves nesting inside. And to top it all off, when Tina went in for her final fitting of her original dress (the satin beauty worn at the ceremony), she fell in love with this Ysa Makino gown that she just had to have for her reception.  Tina explains, ‘This is a bold, trend setting, high impact centerpiece, not just a dress! It was a show stopping statement dress that insured  I was the bride that stole the show!’ You are so right Tina.  Enjoy!

Tina + Peter | September 28th, 2012 | Renaissance Banquet Hall, Glendale CA

The Ceremony
Our ceremony took place at a Christian orthodox church. The church was very romantic with rose pedals on a runner down the aisle, flower hanging balls at the end of each bench, with two large centerpieces at the end of the altar. We had large, medium and small glass holders and candles all down the aisle as well.

The Reception
We had a 480-person banquet style reception at a venue called Renaissance. The theme was traditional, romantic and elegant in a scheme of creams, gold and whites. We piped and draped the entire banquet hall with white silk drapes with lights to illuminate the room as if it was lit by candles. We had an 8 ft centerpiece as guests entered the venue where we had a cocktail reception before the banquet reception begun. Special décor details included: A birdcage gifting box with two real doves, we had a 7 tier wedding cake, and our wedding party walked in and made a hockey bridge with hockey sticks and we entered under the bridge as my husband was a hockey player all his life.

Tina’s Dress Search
I actually started my dress search completely lost.  I was never that girl growing up that had her dream wedding or dress in mind. I knew that I wanted a statement dress. When I first began looking I was leaning toward the mermaid silhouette most but then after trying a few ball gowns realized I just felt better in the ball gown, it was so grand and I figured what other time in your life are you going to get away with wearing a ball gown?

Elegant, Stunning, Confident

Why Tina Decided To Sell Her Wedding Dress
My husband and I are planning to purchase our first home and after a lavish wedding that was paid for mostly by him,  I would love to be able to use the money I would get from my dress sale toward contributing to our down payment for our home.
