Sadie + Austin | Monique Lhuillier Wedding from Captured With Love Photography

The two-piece dress solution from Monique Lhuillier was a lifesaver for Sadie.  Being 6 feet tall, she explains, “It allowed me to size each part of my body equally (top & bottom).” Such a gorgeous and flattering choice! And equally stunning, was Sadie’s heirloom jewelry bouquet made of silver and clear rhinestone jewelry, freshwater pearls, glass beads and Swarovski crystals.  Wow! Congrats to Sadie + Austin, you two look fantastic!

Sadie + Austin | September 29, 2012 | Chicago, IL

The Ceremony
Our ceremony was at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. Formerly a historic Polish Catholic Cathedral, the feel was very historic, and we felt God’s presence in this space.

The Reception
Formerly a dancer, I’ve always wanted to include the arts in our wedding. We wanted the reception to feel swanky and classy and fun, and we think the Joffrey Ballet Studios on State Street created an environment that helped capture that feeling.

Sadie’s Dress Search
My vision for my gown was to have a ball gown skirt that filled an entire room with pouf. The more I tried on gowns, I found fitted was much more flattering. Also, having a two- piece dress was key for me: I am 6’0″ tall, so fitting my proportions would have been impossible without a mix & match skirt.

How Sadie Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Ethereal is the only word that perfectly describes how I felt in my dress. I can say in complete honesty it is the most flattering piece of clothing I’ve ever put on my body.

Why Sadie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I have student loans I still need to pay off!
