Real Wedding | Kelly + John

Why do I love small, intimate weddings? I think it’s so amazing when friends and family can really get to know each other, and spend time celebrating with the bride and groom. Kelly’s small, intimate wedding was chic, sophisticated, and so beautiful. Gorgeous flowers and a string quartet set the stage at the ceremony, and a lovely sit down dinner after gave friends and family the chance to spend quality time together. If an intimate and romantic affair is what you desire, I know that you’ll love today’s Real Wedding as much as I do. Enjoy!

Kelly  + John | June 1, 2012 | The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove, Florida

The ceremony

Our ceremony exuded romance – candlelight off-setting the mahogany wood floors and ceilings; an arch dripping with blushing peonies and ivy; and a string quartet playing our favorite tunes in the background. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house after we said our “I do’s!”

The reception

The reception was intimate and relaxed – an opportunity for our families to really get to know one another!

Kelly’s dress search

I went into my search knowing exactly what I wanted… an Oscar de la Renta bridal gown with a flattering trumpet fit, sweetheart neckline, rouched bodice and tiered train made of silk-taffeta! I knew this was “the dress” from the moment I slipped it on… it’s perfect!

The way Kelly felt in her wedding dress

Gorgeous. Timeless. Blessed.

Why she decided to sell her wedding dress

I want another lucky bride to feel the same way that I felt on our big day!
