Real Wedding | Diep + Tim

Charming details and a personal touch made this elegant California wedding both original and classic at the same time. Soft candlelight and a sophisticated black and white color scheme created a romantic atmosphere. A warm personal note from the bride and groom at each table let guests know just how much they were appreciated.  And in the midst of this happy celebration, Diep was the perfect vision of a beautiful bride…all eyes on her in a gorgeous Romona Keveza gown. A true classic beauty!

The ceremony

Our wedding took place in the Amber room at the Casa Real, Ruby Hill Winery. While we had 200 guests, I wanted our wedding to be an intimate affair where I had the honor of marrying my best friend. To create an elegant but simple atmosphere, I lined the aisle with mercury glass hurricanes. The mantle was lined with tea votive candles to create a romantic vibe.

The reception

Our reception was held in the Grand Salon at Casa Real.  Small personal touches helped make the wedding unique: the menu doubled as an open thank you letter to all of guest. The hallway tables to the reception were lined with family pictures from both side. Our guests were asked to leave photo booth pictures and personal messaged on wish tags.

How Diep found her dream wedding dress

I started the journey thinking I would end up with a princess ball gown. I guess I grew up watching one too many Disney movie! However, I quickly realized that I was drawn to the fit and flair shape. I ended up with a fit and flair dress with a sweetheart neckline. I did not think I would end up with this dress– however it was the first dress I tried on at Bridal Galleria. I saw it in the window and something about it caught my eye. I was hesitant to try it on because it was so different than what I had described to my dress consultant.

Why Diep decided to sell her wedding dress

I love my dress and want another bride to enjoy it as much as I did. I also realized how expensive dress shopping could be, and I just wanted to be a part of an economical and ‘green’ movement for weddings.
