Real Wedding | Anny + Harvey

Surrounded by family and friends (literally!), Anny and Harvey said “I do” in one of the most romantic and beautiful outdoor venues I’ve ever seen. Gorgeous floral arrangements and a soft pastel color scheme added to the romantic vibe. Don’t miss the stylish bridesmaids’ dresses; each one unique, yet perfectly coordinated. Love that! If an ultra-romantic and intimate wedding celebration is what you desire, let today’s Real Wedding be your inspiration!

The ceremony…

We had our ceremony at the Merritt Mansion and Gardens at the Ambassador Campus in Pasadena. The reason we chose this particular venue was because we wanted something more intimate, and we loved the fact that the ceremony site was circular, allowing us to be surrounded by our friends and family while we said our vows on a bridge in the center.  Having the backdrop of the gorgeous mansion and natural greenery was an added bonus! Our florist did an amazing job of enhancing the natural beauty that was already there.  We couldn’t have found a more ideal ceremony location!

Reception description

Our reception was held just a couple of streets away at the Rococo Room at Cafe Santorini.  Just like our ceremony site, we wanted something intimate and romantic.  The Rococo Room worked out perfectly for us in providing this exact ambiance. Our lighting and draping vendors made a tremendous difference in creating a gorgeous space for our reception.  We wanted to keep everything soft, classic and romantic.

How Anny found her dream wedding dress

I didn’t have a particular style of dress in mind, I just knew that I wanted a dress that was unique but timeless. I had always loved Vera Wang’s dresses and felt like her style matched mine and would contribute to the romantic atmosphere I wanted to create for our wedding day.  I went to a trunk show and tried on several of her dresses before coming across this particular dress, Fern.  At first since the dress was 2 pieces, it looked a little strange hanging on the rack and I wasn’t even interested in trying it on.  After some persuasion from the bridal consultant, I tried the dress on and almost immediately knew that it was the one!  I received many compliments it and most guests didn’t even know that the dress was 2 piece!

The way Anny felt in her wedding dress

Amazing! Timeless, Like a fairy-tale!

Why she decided to sell her wedding dress

I was hesitant to sell my dress at first since I loved it so much! I even wanted to put it on every now and then after the wedding just for fun! However, after having the dress cleaned and boxed, I just felt like it would be such a waste for such an amazing dress to sit in a box forever. It’s definitely a dress that needs to be given the chance to be worn and make another bride feel as good as I did on our wedding day.
