Pragati + Matthew | Kenneth Pool Wedding from June Cochran Photography

Pragati + Matthew’s outdoor wedding in Winter Park, Florida is such a delight to the senses…every single detail of this beautifully blended Hindu-Christian wedding is so colorful and full of life. I love the rich hues of red, pink, cream and gold and the abundance of plush flowers throughout. Don’t miss the flawless transition to the couple’s glamorous and playful black tie reception.  The sparkle continues with gold accents and Pragati’s soft and stunning Kenneth Pool, Estelle wedding gown.  Enjoy!

The Ceremony
We were married on April 4, 2014 in Winter Park, Florida, six years to the date after we started dating. Our wedding date was made even more special because Matt’s grandmother celebrated her 100th birthday the day after our wedding! It was a weekend of festivities celebrating love, life, friends and family.  We had always envisioned getting married outside in some capacity. When we found the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens we were immediately smitten. The garden is beautiful and sits on historic Lake Osceola. Our ceremony blended Hindu and Christian traditions to honor both of our upbringings. Our guests loved how unique and heartfelt our ceremony was, from the traditional doli entrance to the proclamation of us as husband and wife.

The Reception
Our reception was whimsical and soft, decorated in ombre pinks, gold, white and black. We tied in a garden theme with glittering details using gilded gold vases and full white hydrangeas. Our table settings featured hand dyed pink ombre napkins and botanical paintings in lieu of table numbers. Our bridal party surprised us with a dance sequence and a series of incredible toasts. We incorporated many elements that spoke to us as a couple and even served ice cream from my husband’s hometown in Michigan. We ended the night with an epic dance party. I think my DJ was most surprised when he ended the music for the night and our friends began chanting “one more song!”.

Pragati’s Dress Search
I went dress shopping so many times! I can’t remember how many dresses I tried on, but I do remember the feeling that I would NEVER find the dress that made me feel beautiful. I never actually tried on the dress I ended up purchasing; I saw a picture of it and I knew it was “the one”. There was something about the delicate beading and scalloped details. It was stunning. Unfortunately there wasn’t room in my budget for an $8000+ Kenneth Pool gown. As luck would have it I scored a sample of the dress and it fulfilled all of my wedding dreams.

How Pragati Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Glamorous, Elegant and Beautiful

Why Pragati Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I want someone else to experience the magic that my gown has to offer. I know the feeling of not being able to afford the dress that stole you heart. I want another bride to have the opportunity to feel the way I felt in my gown.
